NCBBA adopted 44 members of the VA National Guard led by CWO4 Ervin Gaskins, former NCBBA Director #10663. In early February of 2010 NCBBA sent over $1,000 in goods to the men serving with Ervin.......hoorah!

NCBBA VP David Joyner #5678, and Former Director Gil Rigo #4216 were guests on the Captain Reece radio talk show March 6, 2010. The 2 hour discussion centered on 'Open Beach Access' for Cape Hatteras National Seashore Recreational Area. NCBBA is participating on  all venues concerning beach access for everyone.

Annual Meeting and Pig Picking


Tha Annual Meeting was attended by 100 members and guests who experienced  a very emotional meeting with three special presentations.

President Jim Keene was presented a custom rod and reel with his NCBBA number wrapped into the hand grip thanking him for 10 years of service to NCBBA as President and many additional years serving on the Board of Directors. Jim now becomes the most recent past president and will be seated on the Board as a new director and will continue as our NCBBA representative to CHAPA.

Past President John Newbold was also presented with a custom rod and reel with his NCBBA number wrapped in the hand grip recognizing him for 30 plus years of service to NCBBA as Mr. Everything including President . John will no longer be a member of the Board but will continue as the Fishing News Editor for our newsletter.

The Brian Edwards Memorial Trophy for the Russ Privett Memerial Tournament was presented to Mr. John Newbold in appreciation of the time and talent he has given to NCBBA over the past 30 years. Mr. and Mrs. Edwards presented this award to John as there were no Junior Members who caught a fish  in the tournament.
