I have volunteered to accept the challenge of taking over the Junior Membership Program for the NCBBA. I, along with my ten-year-old junior member daughter, will be thinking hard about some activities to try and give this program a jump-start. I also ask all junior members as well as their parents to submit any ideas they may have to me at: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it as I think we are to the point now to think outside of the box. I know one of the biggest challenges in getting our junior members involved is transportation. Having their parents involved helps, but with members all over the country, this program is that much more difficult to get running. At our last Board of Directors meeting, someone suggested a merit badge program, which sounds like a very good idea and I'll start looking into that and several other ideas I have. I have even considered some type of regional activities to try and lessen the travel for some members. Should we bring back the essay and poster contests? Let me hear your thoughts on that as well as other ideas.
So with the help of junior members and their parents, let's try and see if we can get this program moving.
